The outline of the wavy brick wall on the left of the church is sometimes called a ‘serpentine wall’, ‘ribbon wall’ or ‘crinkle-crankle’. This layout gives the construction added strength and also does away with the need for buttressing
The three waste bins, not dated, are 21st century!
